I get a lot of requests for our role descriptions so I finally took the time to upload them on the site. To the right under "KC Role Descriptions" you will find a role description for every staff and volunteer role in Kids' City (except mine, I guess!). I must really love you guys because this was tedious Typepad work! :) Enjoy!
This is awesome. Thanks

Thanks for sharing. You are a blessing to many. My husband and I had planned to come to the Hitchhikers thing in March, but have had to cancel our trip. Perhaps another time!

I ditto everyone else's comments. These documents are WONDERFUL and incredibly helpful for those of us who are on the fringes of launching multi-sites!
Thanks Tammy!

Glad you are finding them helpful! It's fun to know there are other multi-site churches or multi-site-churches-to-be in this adventure with us!

Tammy,
Thanks loads. I am in the process of rebranding and redefining our goals and mission this is timely stuff. I love how you define what a win is at every position.
Thanks for the "tedious Typepad work"!

Tammy. You've done many people a great service by putting this stuff online. I love it and it's very useful. Writing job descriptions is such a tedious task. Here you've given many people a great head start.
I do have one question for you. I really love the evaluation you have on the back... questions your leaders answer to give you guys an idea of how they are doing. How often do you have them complete this? Second question. What percentage of your volunteers actually fill it out when they're due. This is something that I'd like to incorporate as I see it being hugely beneficial as I pastor my volunteers... but I also know my volunteers as they're often busy and forgetful. I'm just curious as to what your experience has been. I really love it thought!!!

Kenny--Glad to hear the descriptions are helpful. Actually, we don't ask leaders to fill these out and turn them in. The evaluation part and discussion questions are intended to be used in the context of a 1-1 meeting between a Coach and a Leader. The back of the sheet is actually meant to be a resource for the Coach for them to know what they should be asking their leader and how to help their leader identify developmental areas. We don't anticipate that they'll talk about all the questions every time they meet.
Hope that makes sense!

Makes perfect sense. Thanks for taking the time to further explain. Again, great work on all these resources!
